New Curtain Technology: Bamboo Bamboo Shells Transformed into Natural Textile Fibers

Hubei was originally a large bamboo province in China. Since 2009, bamboo production has decreased significantly. Bamboo fiber products have been difficult to meet market demand, and new types of textile materials are urgently needed. The bamboo bamboo shoot shell produced in Xianning, Hubei Province was selected as the research object. The degumming process of the bamboo shoot shell was combined with the degumming process of traditional hemp fiber. The hemicellulose, lignin and pectin were removed and the degumming suitable for the bamboo shoot shell was selected. Methods A new degumming process was designed to extract high-quality bamboo shoot shell fibers more accurately.

The extracted bamboo bamboo shell fibers were studied for their structure and properties, and their spinnability was determined. Finally, according to various research results and application requirements of the products, the textile and weaving process design was performed. This study created a unique semi-degumming process, obtained a new type of natural textile fiber, developed a rotor spinning yarn, and obtained a curtain fabric containing bamboo shoot shell fiber in the trial weaving process, refreshing the bamboo shoot shell in the The history of the textile field is the first time at home and abroad.
