US cotton export net contracted volume is less than 20,000 tons

On August 29, the U.S. Department of Agriculture issued a report on U.S. cotton exports from 16-22 January 2013. During the week, the 2013/14 US net cotton export contract volume was 15,600 tons. The main buyers were Turkey, Vietnam, South Korea, Peru and Thailand, and China canceled 0.4 million tons of contracts. In 2014/15, the U.S. upland cotton export net contract volume was 0.05 million tons, and the main buyer was Turkey.

U.S. Upland cotton shipments were 42,900 tons, mainly shipped to Mexico, China (11,300 tons), Mexico, Turkey, Vietnam, and Taiwan.

During the week, the contracted export volume of Pima Cotton in 2013/14 was 0.23 million tons. The main buyers were China (0.14 million tons), Turkey, Pakistan and India.

Pima cotton shipped 0.27 million tons of shipments, mainly to China (0.17 million tons), India, Pakistan and Japan.
